Sorry for the radio silence the last few days, but I'm delighted to report that my new book, The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America, is doing well - even though it only came out officially yesterday. For that, I am forever in the debt of Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, who have been such supportive friends over the years and who gave me a great send-off. (My appearance on Mark's show has been posted at MarkLevinFan, here. I'm also very grateful to my pal Michelle Malkin, who not only blurbed the book very generously but also added a wonderful (and humbling) post yesterday, to mark the occasion of TGJ's publication. And here on NRO, John J was good enough to have me on Between the Covers to chat about the book.

The Washington Examiner is running a series of three excerpts from the book. The first two are here and here, and I think there'll be another today.

Ruth King (of RuthfullyYours) wrote a great review for the Mideast Outpost. It can't, however, top my favorite review so far, from this Amazon reader: "What a load of utter nonsense. This book is such a bunch of bull. Heavy-handed sentences rife with propaganda keywords and purple language roll after each other page by page. Don't waste your time. If you already believe what McCarthy believes (and if he believed it so strongly, why not offer the book for free?), then you're wasting your money because you'll learn nothing new." Nothing like a satisfied customer!

Because of my brilliant scheduling acumen, I managed to spend most of the pub date doing a long-scheduled lecture for the FBI Academy at Fairfield U - a great time, with great guys and gals who let us sleep safely at night. The rest of the week will be more book-oriented. I'll be on Fox &Friends later this morning debating the Ground Zero mosque.
